Ribadu stated this at the Tafewa Balewa Square venue of the ACN state rally.

Ribadu also said since their taking over of power in 1999, the PDP has lived on propaganda and unfulfilled promises.

According to him, the time has come for the ACN to take over the reigns of power and bring the much awaited change to citizens of Nigeria.

Ribadu said: “this is great day. I am a Lagosian because since the 1960s I have been here  with my parents. I have worked in Lagos all my life.

“I can tell you that the way Fashola changed this city is the same way we would change Nigeria.

“We know that PDP has failed. They would tell you they would provide light and won’t give you electricity.

“They would tell you they would provide healthcare and travel abroad for medical check-ups

“The broom revolution has arrived. You can see the change that has come to Lagos to prove that something good can happen in this country.

“My people, you have seen the outcome of the opportunity given to Fashola. He has shown that we can do it.

“I was a Divisional Crime Officer at Apapa and I know the state, which has become the first among the 36 states in the country.

“We are going to bring that same change to Abuja as well.”

Tinubu who thanked the people for their massive support for the party also said four years ago, when he brought out Fashola, many people were reluctant.

“Today, I am really happy that he has done well.

“About a week ago, they (PDP) came with their cockroaches again to say they would capture Lagos and I said we would spray them with insecticides and exterminate them.

“I am a very proud man because the PDP left a legacy of failure and inefficient leadership and lack of effective succession unlike the ACN in Lagos.
