Owei Lakemfa: sec gen of OATUU

Former journalist, Owei Lakemfa, has been elected as the Secretary General of the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity, (OATUU), a coalition of trade unions in African countries, in an election at the 10th Congress of the body in Algiers, Algeria.

for “rapid” and “urgent” solution to the situation in Mali, preserving its territorial integrity, its unity and the exercise of its sovereignty on its territory as a whole.

Lakemfa will be taking over from another Nigerian Hassan Summonu, as head of the continental body.
