Belinda Affiah, one of Nigeria’s current emerging movie star, has embarked on a campaign against rape among secondary school students.
She made a tour of selected secondary schools in Lagos to talk about Rape and its consequences as preached in Kokoma, the movie where she played the lead and was a rape victim.
Belinda this year has won several awards based on her performance in the movie. She won best upcoming Actress at Bon AWARDS, GIMAA Awards in US among others.
She has also decided to partner Project Alert, a non-government organization in fighting against domestic violence among women.
“Due to the Alarming increase in rape cases these days, I think we should do more to protect our young girls. I will surely do that and join hands with whoever is interested in this project to eradicate rape in our society,” she said.
