Super Eagles striker Osaze Odemwingie has hit back at national team coach Stephen Keshi.

The West Bromwich player said Keshi, alongside the Nigeria Football Federation has no personality after he was dropped from the team.

Using Twitter, the 31-year old claimed that Keshi had no reason not to include him in the squad for the African Cup of Nations in South Africa next year.

“On my exclusion from the Eagles list, I am not surprised. Not surprised Keshi and NFF couldn’t tell me themselves. No personality!” he wrote.

The Soviet Union-born forward then wrote that Keshi claimed he was still in his plans but went on to drop him. “Keshi has no footballing reasons not to invite me but is not saying the truth. He said I was in his plans,” he explained.

Odemwingie went on to expose the NFF and Keshi by claiming they were feeding Nigerian fans with lies.

“This is all a comedy and our poor fans are being fed with lies while they are cutting the cake for themselves. Nigerian fans voted me nigerian player of the year during world cup qualifiers & I was a spectator in the world cup and I should be quiet?”

He accused the NFF of also telling lies to telecommunication company, MTN.

“NFF spokesman told MTN he is arrogant? I am arrogant? Why did the country’s president threaten to close down our federation for two years?”

The light skinned player also said the NFF signed German coach Lars Lagerback because they had agreed to a “chop and run” deal.

“Why didn’t Lagerback continue with Super Eagles after World Cup? Chop and run was his plan and they knew it.”

Odemwingie also had words for former Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia. “The only reason me and Siasia fell out was over kits that were not enough cos they were on sale as the Olympics were ongoing. Shame!”

He revealed that Siasia axed him from the national team because he refused to endorse him for the job. “Cos after we got Olympic silver,

I didn’t say Siasia is ready for Eagles job, he waited till he gets the job to axe me?”

  1. The Nations Cup competition would decide wether Keshi is right by excluding you.Its then Nigerians ‘ll know may be those invited are real players or mediocres, because Nigerians ‘ll not forgive him if he goes to disgrace us because personal sentiment.

I dont know why, I think Osaze plays well than many others who are always imn eagle list.

  3. Osaze should just stay quite and concentrate on his professional career. Making utterances like this gives us the impression he is indeed arrogant. Keshi is his senior and he should show some respect. Everyone can’t go to the world cup.

    Why shd he show respect?

well coach has right to choose his player but i don’t see reason for exclusion of in -form super eagle strikers like obafemi and ozase himself. but we all keep our fingers cross

  7. Obasanjo

Iyabo, iyabo, iyabo, ode ni e. The same thing you said in the senate and you are no longer in the house. Respect? Should we continue with respecting NFF and arrogant coaches at the expense of our football? Infact what are you doing on the computer ? Stand up and go feed the fowls.

  8. Osaze is just full of himself. He is arrogant, selfish and lack respect for Nigerian coaches. I am more than happy that Keshi dropped him. He is not better than those invited by Keshi. My dad use to tell me that he who is not happy in a community, the fault is his. When things work in his favor he never complain. I remember in the good old days, good players like Rufai, Etim Esin, Tarilla Okorowanta, Samson Siasia where sometimes dropped. He is and never will be half of what these players were. So Osaze shut the hell up and let people do the talking for you if need be.

Osaze has problem with everybody from the past coaches to the present. He is an arrogant empty player. Nigeria is bigger than one arrogant idiot who has never oven his all to the National team under any coach. What is he talking about? What Siasia, Keshi etc achieved in their playing days, is there for everybody to see. Why cann’t he swallow his pride. He has shut himself on the foot. His absence will not contribute anything negative to the team. We have a crop of cool headed, more sober and dedicated players in the nation. Let no one wait for Keshi to fail then claim that it is because Osaze and Martins did not o to SA for the AFCON. 2014 world cup planning requires using younger players than ego-bloated confused Molato.

Osaze is unlucky to be dealing with corrupt never-do-wells

sometimes we Nigerians should learn to read across d line., how long are we going to be fooled? just look at comment made by people. osazee is just throwing a little out from d bag. if he really wants to open d can ,we all we run. tell me for example, why will an Hausa man be heading our football?d truth may not b popular but will always remain d truth.corruption has eaten deep into our football. all i will continue to say is that Nigerians still need to get more expose. no country will have a player like osazee n not allow him to d nation cup.footballers can talk rough, cos literally they lack manners. but competition has no room for he said this or that.best legs should always come first.we all know Rooney to b rude, but no matter, what England wont drop him on important event. d Nigeria football is filled with all sort of crime n evil. d once using charm are not talked about now o. all i can say is that its deeper than what meets d eyes. what osazee said its not even up to a tip of d iceberg, cos he is scared to reveal deeper secrets.

Those of you that called Osaze arrogant are arrogant and out of touch themselves… they are all fools and will never open their blind eyes…That young man is trying to uncover the evil deed that these corrupt coaches and NFA do and you open your shitty mouths to say bad about him. Tell me which of these selected players are better and more inform that Osaze? The answer is hell no. Keshi is an idiot for not including that young man. That is why our football will continue to decline. None of you idiots don’t want to listen to what Osaze said and tackle these stupid NFA officials who knew nothing than eating bribe and implementing shit. Osaze my brother we know the truth so don’t worry and just continue your football in your club and forget these stupid people.

Nigerians, STOP the MEDIOCRITY. All you hating on Osaze because he has said his story. Do you think Keshi is such a saint? You think it is easy to play in Championship football not to talk of Premiership. Please show some respect, do your homework and come back with more objective comments.

I am so glad that Osaze can speak out. Being quiet has completely destroyed Nigeria’s place in the global arena and now you want to talk Osaze down. The poor boy has made us Nigerians proud. He can not be caged by govt. money and as such is being punished by those useless cabals. Typical.

  14. adjose

Keshi did well to exclude Osaze bcos Osaze was the architect of our failure to qualify for 2012 nations cup in garbon. he think he can betray Siasia and Keshi will allow him to do the sane to him Haaba. The person that was excluded that am not happy is Martins and i will at the same time thank Keshi for calling Rabiu Ibrahim i pray the Guy make the final list thnks 9ja
