Cleric docked for Forgery, Theft

The Nigerian Police at X Squad State Command, Lagos State, has arrested the pastor in charge of Jesus Solution Deliverance Ministry, Oke Afa Isolo, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, for forgery and stealing.

P.M.NEWS learnt that Mr. Michael Onuoha reported a case of forgery and stealing against Prophet Ikenna to the police at X Squad, Lagos State and the police immediately swung into action and arrested Prophet Ikenna Ohaedoghasi and Eze Nwabueze.

Mr. Michael told the police during investigation that the prophet and others at large forged his car dealer payment receipt dated 2 December, 2011 purported to have been issued by him for the purchase of a  Toyota SUV at a cost of N3.2 million, with a view to fraudulently converting it to his own use.

Michael further told the police that on 9 October, 2012 at 9, Olaitan Street, Surulere, Lagos, the suspect with others now at large also stole his Toyota Hiace bus marked JJJ 989 AA valued at N2.8 million.

The victim told the police that Prophet Ikenna betrayed his trust with the actions.

At the conclusion of investigations, the police charged prophet Ikenna and Eze Nwabuze to a magistrates’ court 27, Ikeja on a five-count charge.

One of the counts reads that you, Ikenna Ohaedoghasi ‘m’ and others now at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, did forged the ultimate receipt of payment dated 2 December, 2011 purported to have been issued by one Michael Onuoha ‘m’ for the purchase of one Toyota SUV at the cost of N3.2 million, with a view to fraudulently converting the said vehicle to your own use and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 363 of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.

The suspect pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two surety. The case has been adjourned to 19 March.
