Globacom charges Nigeria's Eagles to beat Ethiopia

As the Super Eagles of Nigeria file out for the last qualifying match against the Ethiopian national team in Group C. Tuesday evening, leading telecommunication company, Globacom, has charged the players to go all out for total victory.

A statement from the company charged the players to work extra hard to qualify for the next round of the on-going African Cup of Nations tournament in South Africa.

So far, the Super Eagles have played two matches and drawn both with two points in their kitty. They pair with Zambia to trail behind Bukina Faso who trashed Ethiopia 4-0.

According to the release, “the Super Eagles should know that national pride is at stake Tuesday evening, and should play total quality football to enable them over-run the Ethiopians who will definitely put up stiff opposition. All Nigerians are behind you. We will continue to pray for your victory over the Ethiopia national team, and we will ensure we cheer you to victory.”

The statement further advised the Super Eagles to note that “it is not over until it is over; so you should not lose concentration even when leading until the final whistle.”

The statement specifically advised the players to “be cautious whilst not wasting scoring chances. ”

The company advised Nigerians not to relent in their support for the Super Eagles to rule Africa again since the last AFCON victory in 1994.
