OPC Arrest 'Mad Man' With 3 Phones

Members of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Abule Egba zone have arrested a mad man with three cell phones, a live cartridge and  master key at U-Turn area of Abule Egba, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.

The suspect who identified himself as Seun Adedokun, according to a chieftain of the OPC, Prince Adedipe Ewenla, has been parading U-Turn area for sometime now with rags and garbage hug around his neck until some of his members accosted him and found the items  on him.

“He has been parading this area for quite sometime now. Some of our members accosted him this evening and when they searched him, they found three handsets, a live cartridge and a master key on him.

“Since he is not ready to confess, we will hand him over to the police for proper investigation,” said Prince Ewenla.

Seun told P.M.NEWS that in 2007, his family took him to Agbara Olorun church at Egbeda area of Lagos State for healing and in December 2008, he was moved from the church to Olokuta in Ogun State for further spiritual healing.

He said he was given some money in 2012 at Olokuta and was asked to meet his mother but his younger sister, Biliki, brought him to a church at U-Turn called Independent Church.

He explained that he did not stay in the church but was moving around, begging for money to feed.

On how he came about the items found on him, Seun said he picked them on the ground.

Prince Ewenle called for medical examination of the suspect to determine his true state of mind.

The suspect was later handed over to policemen at the Oke-Odo Station for further interrogation.
