Taye Taiwo: joins Greek club

Ambitious Turkish club Bursaspor have signed Nigeria left back Taye Taiwo on a three-year deal.

The 28-year-old Ex-AC Milan player signed the contract with the Turkish side Friday, Bursaspor announced on their website.

“A national team player of Nigeria and AC Milan left-back Taye Taiwo has signed a 3-year contract with Bursaspor,” disclosed the club who will likely feature in the UEFA Champions League following the disqualification of Fenerbache and Besiktas

Incidentally, Bursaspor are also interested in Nigeria striker Ikechukwu Uche and are ready to splash three million Euros to take him from Villarreal, who have won promotion back to the Spanish La Liga.

Taiwo had played for Olympique Marseille( France), QPR (England) and was last season on loan to Dynamo Kiev.

On 31 July, 2012, Taiwo joined Dynamo Kyiv on a one-year loan deal with the option of making the move permanent at the end of the season.

He has 54 caps for Nigeria with five goals.
