The Jadeite, an international social engagement organisation is set to berth in Nigeria on 1 November with a concert featuring King Sunny Ade and Millie Jackson.

Tagged ‘KSA through the years’, the event will hold at the Shell Hall, MUSON Centre, Lagos. According to the organisers, it will be a platform for music legend, King Sunny Ade to mark his 50 years on stage with a live performance from his repertoire of evergreen oldies.

Millie Jackson, the US-based R&B diva, will also liven up the stage with her band at the A-list event.

“Millie Jackson is another musician who has made an impact on the global entertainment scene over time. She was known and celebrated as the queen of soul music in the 1960s and 1970s in America and Nigeria. She was last in Lagos for a ground-breaking musical performance sometime in the 1960s. We are glad that she will be visiting Nigeria again for the concert in November,” said Edi Lawani, who will be in charge of the production of the concert.

The Nigerian version of Jadeite Ball will be a celebration of successful and outstanding Nigerian individuals. It is positioned as an annual event with its maiden edition kicking off this year.
