Festus Keyamo, the official spokesperson for APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, has explained the reason he shared the American visa of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC Presidential candidate.
He shared the visa photo on Saturday night via his verified Twitter page.
According to him, he released the image of Tinubu’s American visa to dispel rumours that Tinubu had been denied a visa to the US.
Keyamo tweeted; “For mischief-makers who peddle unfounded rumours about @officialABAT being denied a visa to the US, you leave us with no option but to show you his current visa (that has always been renewed since time immemorial). This is for the misguided ones who believe these rumours”.
This comes after the APC campaign council announced that Tinubu’s travel to the U.S. would be postponed.
In the statement posted on its Twitter handle, Tinubu and his delegation will be in London, the United States, France, and key European Union member state to share his vision and plans.
Also, he intends to solicit Western powers’ support for the democratic process that will usher in the new administration in Nigeria on May 29th, 2023.
While in London, Tinubu will address the Chatham House, the United Kingdom’s elite Foreign and Policy Think-tank institution where he will speak on security, economy and foreign policy on Monday, December 5, 2022.
