“I left Abeokuta at half-past five in the evening. After ten minutes of the journey, the accident occurred.
“It was raining heavily that day and one of the back tyres burst. My driver lost control and the car somersaulted five times. It flew into a ditch. Much damage was done to my car and myself. I almost lost my life.
“The road safety officers in Abeokuta were very efficient because within five minutes of the accident, they were at the scene, ferrying the victims to the Federal Medical Centre in Abeokuta, where we found the nurse and medical staff equally efficient.
“But because of the number of the victims, I was relocated to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) 24 hours later.
”I am feeling much better now and recovering fast. I thank the Almighty God because no life was lost,†Fasheun stated.
