People Police Marathon For July

Preparation for the third edition of the annual People Police Marathon with the theme “Race against Crime” has begun in earnest.

According to the AIG Zone 5, M.D Abubakar, “this year’s marathon, like the previous ones, hopes to foster a better relationship between the police and the policed.

“This year’s event hopes to attract the patronage and support it receives, year in year out, from the public. Preceding the race proper will be the IGP’s cocktail, which affords top personalities in the private and public sectors an opportunity to share concerns on the security situation nationwide.”

Chief Consultant to the marathon and Managing Director of Sublime Communication, Mr. Peter Osamgbi, also appreciates the support of previous sponsors, who believe that the race against crime is a joint effort between the people and the police.

Osamgbi said the marathon, which is now in its third year,  is aimed at fostering good relationship. This year, we call upon individuals and corporate organisations within the private sector who believe that the fight to reduce crime is a joint effort.
