Kwara LG Election Holds In October

The Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), has slated elections into the 16 local government councils of the state for Saturday, 30 October, 2010.

According to a statement from the secretary of the commission, Ahmed Goga Salman, elections would be conducted into the offices of chairmen and councillors in all the exisiting 16 local government councils in the state.

By this development, the statement read further, intending contestants from all the registered political parties are advised to take note and be guided accordingly.

The last local government election in the state that produced the present chairmen and councillors was held in 2007.
