Princess Uzamat Folashayo Akinbile has stated that the untold hardship and suffering often faced by  people in her constituency (Alimosho Local Government Area Lagos )  prompted her to seek for a seat in Lagos State House of Representatives under the platform of Action Congress (AC) in 2011 general elections.

Akinbile made this statement at the Amazement Centre, Gowon Estate, while launching a N65 million Campaign Organisation and Empowerment Programme simply tagged PRUZAMAT.

“I have lived closely with the people for over 25 years and I know where their shoes pinch them.

“So, it is time for a relief. I will put smile on their faces,” she stated.

Mrs. Akinbile, who spoke amid boisterous cheers, disclosed that  her vision is to contribute immensely to the rapid transformation of the state so that it will be on the world map as megacity and “my mission is to establish a strong financial sector that will attract foreign investors. I will equally develop and rehabilitate some of our infrastructure and promote our culture.”

Uzamat, meaning Peace, was born 36 years ago in  Ile-ife Osun State, Nigeria. She attended Ansar-Ur-Deen Primary School, Ile-Ife (1980-1986), Seventh Day Adventist Grammar School Ife and Ogidan School, Oshogho where she obtained her Senior School Certificate Examination in 1998. Akinbile got a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy in 2006 and has worked in various companies including the oil  and pharmaceutical sectors.
