Renowned sports presenter, Mitchel Obi and former African quartermiller, Falilat Ogunkoya-Omotayo have won the sum of N1million during the special edition of the MTN sponsored‘Who Want To be A Millionaire? (WWTBAM) show.
The special charity edition tagged ‘The Millionaire 1 Goal Special’ featured celebrities in the hot seat to win up to N10million. But the duo of Obi and Ogunkoya-Omotayo could not get to the ultimate N10m mark. They, however, walked away with N1m after they were unable to answer the question that could have won them N2m.
The N1m Obi and Ogunkoya-Omotayo won was given to Haven for Nigerian Children, a Lagos, Nigeria-based Non Government Organisation, NGO.
The 1 GOAL project is a campaign using the power of football as a vehicle to ensure education for all children of school age in the world. The project is having the support of the FIFA President, Sepp Blatter, South African President, Jacob Zuma, Ghanaian President, John Atta Mills and Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State. In Nigeria, football personalities like former captain of the Super Eagles, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, current skipper of the Eagles, Kanu Nwankwo, Segun Odegbami (MON), Larry Izamoje, CEO, Brila FM and the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola have all endorsed the idea of the 1 GOAL project.
