National President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Admiral Dele Abiodun, Afro-juju music creator, Sir Sina Peters and Ras Kimono, have given their backing to the World Music Day organised by the Lagos State chapter of the association.
The three-day celebration which is in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Culture, starts on 17 June and ends on 19 June, 2010 and it is expected to cut across all local governments and council development areas in the state.
During the event, the musicians will embark on a Keep Lagos Clean exercise as well as pay courtesy visit to some orphanages.
Ras Baker, the 1st vice chairman of Lagos PMAN, informed that the event, which also expected to showcase young talents, will hold at the PMAN National Headquarters.
