Spartans Football Club and Golden Chance Football Club will go to war to determine who wins the 2010 Golden Chance Lotto Cup in the final of the competition scheduled for Sunday, 13 June, 2010 at the Technical College, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
To qualify for the final, Spartans FC defeated Leadstone FC 4-2 through a penalty shootout after they played 1-1 draw at regulation time of the first semi final match. Golden Chance FC walloped Salamson 5-1 in the second semi final tie.
Coordinator of the championship, sponsored by Golden Chance Lotto, Tijani LuQman, told P.M.Sports that preparations are in top gear to ensure that the final ceremony is glamorous and memorable. He said the management staff of the sponsoring company have signified their interest to grace the final.
“We’ll leave nothing to chance to ensure that the final is violence free. My advice is that all the invited guests and the fans should come early on the final day. We have also told the two finalists to warn their supporters against any act that can smear the competition. I want to assure that maximum security will be guaranteed,†Coach LuQman added.
