LG Boss Tasks Federal Lawmakers On LCDAS

Federal Lawmakers have been tasked on the inclusion of the 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State, Nigeria, created by the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former governor of the state, in the Nigerian constitution to enable them perform the full roles of local governments.

Hon. Adefarasin  Hassan, Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area, Lagos State made the call recently while speaking on the challenges facing his LCDA.

The chairman also used the occasion to inform the inhabitants of the council area of the rehabilitationof Itamaga-Ijede road, which  he said has been approved by the state government and promised that work would soon commence on the project. The reconstruction work, according to the chairman, would also include construction of drainage channels along the road.

He stated that the sum of N204 million has been approved for the project, and thanked Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola for the approval of the project. Adefarasin also reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivery of dividends of democracy and appealed to the residents of the local government to be patience with his administration.
