Chief Coach of Oshodi Branch football team, Lookman Bakare, says he is confident that his boys will lift the U-15 Akanni Olohunwa Cup.
Oshodi will clash with Surulere Branch football team in the final scheduled to hold at the Campos Square Sports Centre, Lagos Island, after the FIFA World Cup in July.
Speaking ahead of the final, Bakare, whose players are preparing ahead of the crucial, encounter said anything short of victory in the final will be a disappointment.
He boasted that his players are battle-ready and promised that there is no way Surulere wonâ€™t beÂ humiliated in the final.
â€œWe are good for the trophy. Though Surulere Branch has a good team, I want to say that we are better than them,â€ he said.
Bakare expressed gratitude to the sponsor of the team, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, who isÂ popularly called MC Olu-Omo of Oshodi, for his financial contribution to the success of the team since the competition started. He promised that his team will not disappoint.
Meanwhile, Match Co-ordinator, Afolabi Onanaike said his organising committee has started preparation for the final ceremony. He assured that the closing ceremony will hold immediately the ongoing FIFA World Cup is over.
