Policemen attached to the Anti-Vandalisation of Petroleum Pipelines Unit and Marine Police at Ikeja, acting on a tip-off, have arrested the duo of Gbenga Omojula and Olorunwa Obajimo, both residents of Arasomi Compound, Abule Osun, Ojo, Lagos State, Nigeria.
The suspects were arrested along Ilado-Badagry Creek with 59 jerry cans filled with petroleum products loaded in a speed boat fitted with 175HP Yamaha engine.
They were taken to Ikeja Command where they have made useful statements to the police on their nefarious activities.
Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in charge of Lagos State, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mr. Frank Mba, said the suspects, who are currently assisting the police to track down other members of the gang, will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.â€
