African music fans were ecstatic when they learnt that some of their top stars had been nominated for the BET Awards with M.I and P-Square flying the flag for the Nigerian music industry. But at the big night event, the Best International Act award eventually went to UKâ€
Other winners include John Legend, Trey Songz, Alicia Keys, Jay Z, Beyonce and Lady Gaga, Moâ€
However, Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square and M.Iâ€
Then, it was off to Los Angeles and the Nigerian superstar-nominees thoroughly enjoyed their BET experience.
There was a party held in their honour by BET and Anabel Mobile. Guests at the event included Anabel brand ambassador, Meagan Good and talk show host, Wendy Williams, alongside other celebrities.
In addition, they participated in other BET social activities and got to meet many of the top Hip Hop acts including Drake.
All the same, it was all fun and good night for Black Entertainment. Chris Brown gave an impressive Michael Jackson tribute, while Preggie Alicia Keys gave her last televised appearance for a while till she gives birth. Kanye West returned with a riveting solo performance, marking the first time the rapper/producer has performed in public since he interrupted Taylor Swift last year at the MTV Video Music Awards.
