The final of Under 15 Akanni Olohunwa Cup will now hold on 30 July at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island.
The final match will be played between Surulere football team branch and Oshodi football team branch. 86 teams from the branches of the Lagos chapter of National Union Road Transports Workers (NURTW) took part in the two month championship,
The Chairman, Organising Committee, Afolabi Onanaike confirmed to P.M.Sports on Tuesday in his office that they have informed the two finalists about the date of the final. He urged the finalists to start their preparation ahead of the crucial game.
Onanaike said the organisers have started preparing for the final ceremony, adding that they will mobilise thousand of youths on Lagos Island to come to the stadium for the colourful ceremony.
“We will give all the spectators T- shirts and caps for coming out to watch the final. I’m sure it is going to be an interesting match because both teams are good for the cup. We have also invited some personalities that will grace the occasion and make the event a memorable one,†he said.
