Former World Light heavyweight Wrestling Champion, Nigerian Morris Atula a.k.a Golden Warrior says that world wrestling stars have signified their readiness to storm the country for the maiden edition of BRF Wrestlemania 2010, which will come up in Lagos, Nigeria later this month.

Atula, who is based in London, said the competition promises to be the talk of the town and its memory  will  linger  for years to come.

Atula, who is the chairman of the Match Commissioners for the tourney said: “I can say it with authority that a lot of wrestlers across the world will be coming for the event. Kerry the Power of Spain and The Babarian will be leading wrestlers from Europe. Maximum Capacity and Giant Warrior will lead those coming from USA.

“Fahad the Gladiator (Kuwait and Charlie Rage (Japan) will lead wrestlers  from Asia. Prince H.O of Lagos and Shawn Koen of Zimbabwe will lead the African wrestlers, while Big Geet will lead thiose coming from Australia to the week-long event, which is being staged to honour the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola,” he added.

“We have made solid arrangements. We have also contacted these wrestlers who promised to honour the invitation. I’m glad to be part of the organisers who want to honour the performing governor in Nigeria today, Raji Fashola. When somebody does a good thing, we must not hesitate to commend him and honour such person. That is why Fashola deserves this honour with the world class wrestling tourney.

“The championship is to appreciate the achievements of Governor Fashola since he assumed power. I have been away for the last 30 years and when I came back, what I saw in Lagos marveled me. It’s awesome that Lagos could be like London.

“I’m here to assist the organisers to put in place a standard organisation for this world event, where every continent will be represented. This will be one of the best ever organised wrestling championships in the country. Nigerians have for long been looking for this and we should not deny them the best,” Atula said.

Other Match Commissioners according to Atula are Jacob Makia from Cameroon and Captain Killer from Nigeria.
