Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ogun, has expelled two students and suspended 18 others over examination malpractices.
The two students are Arogundade Afolake, a full-time student of the Department of Political Science, and Shoneye Jabiu, a part-time student of the Department of Computer Science.
The Public Relation officer of the institution, Mr. Gbenga Omilola, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun, on Wednesday that the university also rusticated 14 students for alleged impersonation.
Omilola explained that the students were found guilty by the examination malpractices committee, adding the suspended students failed to appear before the committee after many invitations sent to them by the committee.
Omilola also said the committee warned two students over their alleged involvement in examination malpractice, adding that they would be expelled if strong evidence was established against them.
He said the university would not relent in its effort to check examination malpractices on the campus.
