Alphonsus Igbeke (ANPP-Anambra North), the All Nigeria People’s Party senator who replaced Joy Emordi at the Senate and Senator Uche Chukwumerije representing Abia North who was elected into the upper chamber on the platform of Progressive Party Alliance announced their decision to decamp to other political parties during the plenary today.
Senator Igbeke who had barely spent three months in the upper chamber defected to PDP while Senator Chukwumerije defected to All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA. Chukwumerije explained that he is leaving the party on which platform he was elected into office based on the demands of members of his constituency and the crisis rocking the PPA.
