At least 15 commuters were believed to be on danger list this morning as a Lagos-bound white Mazda commuter bus marked Lagos XQ320 AKD ran into the median on the Lagos-Benin expressway at the Odogbolu junction in Ogun State, Nigeria.
An eyewitness informed P.M.NEWS that the bus took off from the Ijebu Ode Motor Park a few minutes before the crash.
“I was in a vehicle directly behind the bus when we noticed that the driver was not stable on the steering as he was dizzy. He finally lost control and hit the bus on the median, resulting in a serious damage to the bus.
“Most of the commuters were seriously injured. They were rushed to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu and the Odogbolu General Hospital. But for divine intervention, the vehicle would have caught fireâ€, said the eyewitness.
When P.M.NEWS got to the scene of the accident, only three of the passengers with minor injuries were seen. One of them, a young man wearing jeans trousers with blood soaked ‘T’ shirt could not speak. But he was making signs to show his appreciation to God.
