A Nigerian man, Olufemi Ademoye 54, living in Tampa, Florida, USA, is facing trial for allegedly killing his wife.
According to The African Examiner, an internet site, after committing the act, he had asked his neighbours to call 911 to report his wife having heart attack only to find out he had killed her.
According to reports from, Hillborough County Sheriff’s Office, Tampa Florida on June 16, 2010, a fight broke out between the Nigerian couple which eventually resulted in the death of the wife Juliet Ademoye who was 52 years old.
After the fight, the husband rushed out and asked neighbours to call 911 claiming his wife had heart attack.
The police responded swiftly, but upon searching the residence, detectives discovered that the master bedroom and bathroom of the house were covered with blood.
Further search of the residence also revealed an aluminium baseball bat covered with the victim’s blood. Personnel from Hillsborough County Fire Rescue pronounced the wife dead when they arrived.
Preliminary investigation show she apparently died from blunt trauma to the head and upper body due to the alleged fight between her and the husband.
Olufemi Ademoye has since been arrested and is being charged for second degree murder.
