Nigerians have been told to elect the right persons in positions of authority during the 2011 elections.

Giving this advice in his palace, Baale of Oke Osa in Ado Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, Chief Waliu Alani Oduntan Ajayi said the right people will remember the people and fast track the development of community.

Chief Ajayi, who is marking the third anniversary of his coronation on 1 August, 2010 also commended the Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, for bringing development to the community and implored him to ensure the completion of the Iyana-Ilogbo Road leading to Oke-Osa.

”The road has not been tarred to Oke-Osa. I want the governor to intervene and ensure that the whole road is tarred,” he stated.

Chief Ajayi also appealed to the governor to begin payment of salary to recognised Baales and other traditional rulers in the state, adding that this will go a long way in assuring the traditional title holders that they are part and parcel of the government.

He further urged the people of the state to cooperate with Governor Daniel in the onerous task of developing the state.

“Lastly, we don’t want any war between Egba and Awori in our community. The two groups should live together in peace with each other,” he stated.
