As Nigerians, especially journalists, pray fervently and wait patiently for the release of the four abducted  journalists and their driver, some kidnappers have threatened to take more journalists hostage.

The self-acclaimed abductors, who have been calling editors of  major news media on phone with private numbers, claimed to have arrived in Lagos with the mission to kidnap more journalists, especially editors.

One of the kidnappers called this reporter  between 1.06 a.m and 1.08 a.m yesterday morning and said: “This is to inform you that you  and your colleagues are our next victims. We have arrived in Lagos to get more of you into our net, so that we can make more money through you people, now that we know government is very interested in your  safety.” When asked to identify  himself and make his number available, he disconnected the line.

The case has been incidented with the Commander, Area ‘G’ Command, Mr. Mobolaji Odesanya, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, who has ordered immediate investigation into the matter.
