A middle aged man, Idoreyin Okon Adam, was on Sunday morning knocked down and killed by a driver of kia Rio vehicle with registration number AN 387 AAA Lagos, along Admiralty Way by Mactay junction, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
The late Adam, who worked with Halogen Security Ltd., was returning from night duty when he met his untimely death.
Eye witnesses said the driver lost control and skidded off the road and hit the man who died instantly.
The relations of the victim later came to the scene of the accident and identified their brother whom they said was a father of three children.
The body of the deceased and the driver who killed him were later taken to Maroko Police Station, Maroko.
The driver of the car, according to police report, works for an Indian man. The report said he was going to drop off his boss’ female visitor when he lost control and hit the man.
The Kia Rio he was driving is still parked at the police station, with remnants of chicken parts and other food items the driver and his boss’ female visitor were eating when the accident happened, scattered inside the car.
