Super Eagles player, Obinna Nsofor, has advised members of the Covenant Football Academy to be disciplined and remain focused if they want to achieve great things in their football careers.
Nsosfor, said this at the venue of the friendly tie between God’s Favour Football Academy and Covenant last Wednesday at the Trade Fair football pitch, along Lagos- Badagry Expressway.
Covenant defeated God’s Favour 2-1 in the friendly match.
Addressing the players after the encounter, the Malaga FC striker said he was impressed with the performance of the team and urged the players to shun social vices that can damage their careers.
“I want to commend the two teams for their good performance in the friendly match, especially Covenant Football Academy. They played good football and exhibited their talent,†said Nsofor, who played for Nigeria at the just concluded FIFA World Cup held in South Africa.
The former Chievo FC of Italy striker also counselled the players to listen to their coaches’ advice and attend training session regularly if they want to become great players in the future.
“I will like you (players) to be prayerful and put your trust in God, not in man. If all these are done, I think the sky is the limit,†he said
Covenant boss, Evangelist Tony Adiele, thanked the Eagles player for his advice to the team.
“I am happy that Nsofor has advised the players to be disciplined in their career. I think the advice will have a good impact on the players. They now know that discipline and commitment to the game will help them succeed in their careers,†he said.
