Ogun Students Mark Day

The National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), Lagos State Polytechnic chapter, has held its annual programme tagged Ogun  Day.

The colourful event, which had in attendance over 700 participants, was held on 22 July, 2010 at the school’s Main Auditorium, Isolo Campus.

The Vice-President of the association, Comrade Ogunyade Tolulope, congratulated the indigenes of Ogun State in the school, saying, “Ogun Day is a celebration of culture and values of Ogun indegenes as a people.”

Speaking on the topic, The Worth of Cultural Value In Our Society, a lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, LASPOTECH, Mr. Arigbadu, emphasised the significance of various ethnic groups that form Ogun State and the need for indigenes of the state, irrespective of their ethnic identities, to unite towards building a progressive society.
