Chairman, Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos, Nigeria, Mr. Olatunde Babatunde Adepitan, has lauded residents for the peaceful celebration of this year’s Mushin Day.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS, Adepitan said the celebration was successful because residents longed for it.
Adepitan said this year’s celebration was held within the Ojuwoye Market in front of the Oba’s palace to depict the ancient nature of Mushin town.
Adepitan said the venue was also chosen because it was very spacious.
The Iyaloja-General of Mushin and Odiolowo\Ojuwoye, Mrs. Mufuliat Abimbola Adebunmi, expressed gratitude to God for a successful Mushin Day.
She disclosed that the venue of the celebration was chosen to honour the Mushin monarch.
The market leader commended the security arrangement put in place during the ceremony which ensured that there was no threat to lives and properties.
