“It has been a long time Gbagada Grassroots Sports Association has organised football competitions for the clubs  in our domain. So this championship will give some players an opportunity to showcase their talents,” he said.

Emina admonished the participating teams not to see the tourney as a do or die affair and shun any social vices that can tarnish the image of the competition.

He also said his association will organise female competition, Gbagada Mock Nations Cup and Mamora Cup before the year runs out.

“We want to keep the players busy by organising more competitions so that the youth will be fully engaged throughout the year,” he said.
