As his team prepare for their next match of the Nigeria Premier League Super 4 today against Kano Pillars, Chief Coach of Sunshine Stars, Solomon Ogbeide was caught spying on Kwara United during yesterday’s training.

The top four clubs featuring in the top four tournament; Enyimba International, Kano Pillars, Sunshine Stars and Kwara United had their turns during yesterday’s training held between 3-7 p.m at the astro turf  of Ijebu-Ode Stadium.

As arranged by the Nigeria Premier League, NPL, Ogbeide’s team from Akure first shared each half of the pitch for their training with Enyimba of Aba, while Pillars had theirs with Kwara from 5p.m.

But after his team had left the arena for their Ago Iwoye Hotel camp, on the outskirts of Ijebu-Ode, Ogbeide stayed back to observe every step of the Coach Kadiri Ikhana-led Kwara United during their shape up.

Apart from the Kwara United players, who were visibly scared by Ogbeide’s presence, Coach Ikhana sarcastically told his opposing number to enjoy himself while their training lasted.

“Why is Coach Ogbeide spying on us now? Our match with his Sunshine Stars is the last on Sunday, yet he’s monitoring us as if the match is taking place right now,” some Kwara United players chorused.

When asked why he went so close to their Sunday’s final match opponents, Ogbiede declined comments, but jokingly said: “I’m planning for our match against Kano Pillars on Friday (Today)’’. Meanwhile, Pillars’ skipper, Bala Mohammed says their second match against Sunshine Stars this afternoon is a must win encounter.

“We have to win our next game against Sunshine to remain in contention for the Super 4 trophy. The goalless draw we played against Kwara was due to the long journey to Ijebu-Ode from Kano, so we are ready to play our best match now,” Bala said.
