West Africa Corporate Games: Organisers Unveil Plans For Event

In an effort to facilitate synergy among corporate bodies and their employees in the country, the organisers of the West Africa Corporate Games tagged Lagos 2010 have unveiled plans for the championships.

Speaking at the official launching of the Games at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, recently, the representative of the West Africa Corporate Games,Toyosi Oyetunji, stated that a lot of activities have been lined-up to make the games a memorable one.

According to him, the Corporate Games is organised to capitalise on corporate benefits such as creating confidence, loyalty and team spirit among the employees .

He added that the Games will also assist in increasing name and brand recognition, as well as experiencing the ultimate mix of sport, business and tourism.

Oyetunji further informed that 500 participants are expected to vie for honours in beach football, athletics, badminton, hockey, table tennis, golf, bowing, squash, hockey, swimming and tennis, disclosing  that the Teslism Balogun Stadium, Eko Hotel and Suites, The Palms and Ikoyi Club will host the events.

Similarly, the Project Manager, Corporate Games International, Gemma Godfrey, assured that a machinery has  been put in place to cater for medicals and insurance of the all the participants throughout the competition.
