Family Of Seven Die In Accident

An Abuja-based worker of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Albert Talabi, his wife and five children died on Sunday in a motor accident along Ile-Ife –Ibadan road.

The incident happened on their way to the ongoing convention of the church at the Redemption Camp, Kilometre 46, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

gathered that the car, in which the family of seven was travelling, rammed into a stationary trailer, a few kilometres after Ile-Ife  and they died on the spot.

Their corpses have been deposited in the morgue at the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

P.M.NEWS learnt that Pastor Talabi was a native of Emure-Ekiti in Emere Local Government Area of Ekiti State and the whole town has been thrown into a mourning following the tragic incident.

Sources also said that the late pastor is survived by aged parents. His father, Pa Talabi Oyinkan and other family members have said that their corpses should not be brought back home.

However, sources from the Redeemed Church convention said one of the senior pastors of Region Three of the church has given instruction that the victims should be given a befitting burial in the area.

In addition to being a worker in the church, the late Pastor Talabi was a staff of the Federal Character Commission, Abuja.
