Basketball: D’Tigers Tackle Cote d’ Ivoire

Nigeria’s senior basketball team, Dâ€Tigers, will this evening take on Cote dâ€Ivoire in a must-win match at the ongoing FIBA-Africa Zone III qualifiers in Lome, Togo.

Wale Joseph, reports that theCoach Sani Ahmed-tutored Dâ€Tigers must win todayâ€s game if their dream of hoisting the nation’s flag at the forthcoming FIBA-Africa Nations Cup in Cote dâ€Ivoire must come to pass.

Dâ€Tigers, who lost 58-59 points to hosts, Togo yesterday  must beat the Ivoriens, who have won their two games in the qualifiers. They defeated Togo and Benin Republic 53-46 and 81-57 points respectively to top the table.

Dâ€Tigers beat Benin Republic 60-43 points in their first match. Togo will also take on Benin Republic later today.
