Nigerian Female Athletes Dominate World Cup List

Nigeria women athletes are dominating Africa’s list for the two day Athletics World Cup scheduled for Split, Croatia from 4-5 September.

Secretary General of Athletic Federation of Nigeria, AFN, Maria Wophill said Confederation of African Athletics will handle logistics and camping of the athletes.

She also disclosed in a chat with brilafm.net that triple gold medalist at the African Athletics Championship in Nairobi, Kenya, Blessing Okagbare ranks top on the list.

The golden girl of the tracks is closely followed by Damola Osayomi, Seun Adigun, Domike Nkiruka, Ozoh Lauretta, Endurance Ainuwa and Ajoke Odumosu.

Others are Folashade Abugun and Osasuwa Agnes, while Nurudeen Selim and Oke Tosin are the only two Nigerian male athletes invited for the event.
