12th August, 2010
Last Sunday, 8 August, was a special day in the life of Bolaji Rosiji, ex-monk and former President, Performing Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN). The handsome musician-employer clocked 45 and prior to that date, 6 August, to be precise, his very good friend, Stella Monye and some other close friends and family members, threw a surprise birthday bash for him.
The bash, held at the plush Prestige Tube and Lounge, Ikeja CBD, Agidingbi, venue of the monthly gig of the Samba Queen tagged De Huk Up Show With Stella Monye, was practically dedicated to the celebration of this amiable gentleman.
Bolaji, who was oblivious of the August surprise party, walked into the bash, thinking he was coming for Stella’s every first Friday of the month show. He was, however, stunned to see his clan led by his elder brother, Bolu, the first born of the legendary Ayo Rosiji, the two-time minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Also at the Huk Up Show that night was Barrister Femi Falana, Ayodele Adewale, amiable and young chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government; Tee Mac Itseli, ex-PMAN president; representatives of the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Princess Sarah Sosan; Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti, Ngozi Nwosu, Prince Wadada, comedienne Mandy and some members of the Indian community.
On Sunday, which happened to be his real birthday, Showbiz Trends learnt, the party train resumed with more fun at Bolaji’s Apapa, Lagos residence.
