U.I. Probes Violation Of Mosque

The University of Ibadan is to investigate the alleged disruption of Jumat prayers by a student of the institution on Friday.

The Public Relations Officer of the university, Mrs. Joke Akinpelu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday that the university had suspended the student, pending the outcome of the investigation.

She appealed to the students to remain calm as the university authority would take appropriate steps in the matter.

NAN reports that the female student allegedly intruded during the Friday prayers, resulting in a peaceful demonstration by a group of students on Monday.
