The supervisor explained that the coaching was for primary five and primary six pupils, as well as JSS1 and SS 2 students “so as to keep them busy during this long holiday period.”
She said the students were being taught the core subjects such as English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Integrated Science.
She noted that prizes would be given to the best students at the end of the exercise, stressing that the scheme was a personal programme of the council Chairman, Mr. Mufutau Oseni, “to provide sound educational background to students.”
Recalling that the free coaching classes started five years ago, she said that a total of N3.8 million was spent.
