NFF Election: Odegbami, This Is My Last Chance

Former Nigeria’s skipper Segun Odegbami says this will be his last attempt to seek an elective post into the board of the Nigeria Football Federation.

Previous attempts by the former captain of the Eagles have met with frustration.

But the impeachment of Sani Lulu and two of his key executive committee members cleared the way for his Odegbami, whose current stab at the position would have ended before it even started.

However, impediments imposed by the removed leadership continue to clog his path.

Odegbami is fighting a hard battle to remove those hindrances but says he will only do so for this last time.

“This will be the last time I will try to get into the NFF. I have spent all my life working for Nigerian football.

“But there are so many illegalities in the way the current election is being conducted.”

Odegbami has written to FIFA President Sepp Blatter to right those ‘illegalities’.

The elections are scheduled for 21 August.
