The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Professor Bamidele Badejo, has called on Lagosians to always follow all measures put in place by government in its quest to enhance transparency in the stateâ€
According to Badejo, who spoke in Lagos, Nigeria, the measures put in place was the open display of all chargeable rates on vehicle documents, driverâ€
The commissioner said as a matter of compulsion, all officers on duty were now expected to put on their identity card for easy identification by members of the public.
He said this approach was in line with the openness and transparency of the present administration in Lagos State, adding that it was regrettable that despite all these, Lagosians still fall into the hands of touts who were always ready to exploit them.
He, however, enjoined members of the public to avoid dealing with anyone who could not be properly identified at any of the licensing offices.

He added that the public could access the website of the state government for more information on the products and services of the Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA).
He urged the public to call any of the phone numbers of senior members of MVAA whenever they have any issues while processing their licenses or any suspected foul play.
The commissioner noted that the public had been exploiting this opportunity and had been getting their problems solved.
