Thousands of lawyers from all over the country stormed Kaduna today for the Nigerian Bar Association’s annual general conference .
The conference tagged ‘Kaduna 2010’ has the theme ‘Nigeria at 50, Looking Forward, Looking Backward’ .
The reason for the theme, P.M.NEWS gathered, is to enable the lawyers brainstorm on issues affecting the progress of the country with a view to proffering solutions or taking a position for practical approach on the way forward particularly regarding the need for INEC to conduct credible elections.
According to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federation as well as member of the NBA, Mohammed Bello Adokie, there is no alternative to free, fair and credible elections.
The conference that will last for five days, P.M.NEWS learnt, will equally dwell on other matters like corruption, bad leadership and proffer solutions to them.
