It was fun galore at the Department of Arts, Design and Printing, Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) on Friday, 13August, when students of the school celebrated one of the Nigerian finest food garri, popularly known as Gouache among Nigerian students.

Speaking with Campus Square, the Social Director of the department, Chris Ekpo, said the event was meant to tell the world that the roles of garri, a commodity made from cassava, cannot be over-emphasized especially to poor students.

“It is easy to prepare and helps in energizing worn-out and wary minds. That is why it is called Guache,” he added.
