The founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos, South West Nigeria, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, who predicted the death of Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Oyewole Matanmi, has predicted imminent shake up in Lagos Police Command.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos yesterday, Ayodele said “God told me to tell CP Marvel Akpoyibo, the Lagos Commissioner of Police, to be careful as people are bent in writing petitions to remove him. There will be major shake up and he should not be biased in handling cases of disagreement among the rank and file and their superior officers, especially when it involves divisional police officers.”

Ayodele also predicted that kidnappers will storm Lagos in full force and therefore advised Akpoyibo to put his men in strategic positions within the state to nip the plan in the bud.

According to him, there is nothing bad if each state government raised N1 billion to fight crime by giving reasonable salaries, sophisticated weapons, bullet proof jackets and good accommodation to policemen, most of who, he said, reside in stinking environments.

He, however, warned the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ogbonnaya Onovo, to avoid crisis that may lead to his removal.

While commending Mr. Akpoyibo and the Area Commander, Zone D Command, Mushin, for their crime fighting efforts, he urged the commissioner to draft an armoured personnel carrier (APC) to Oke Afa in order to minimise the activities of criminals in the area.

He also promised that his church will donate a plot of land for the purpose of building a police post in the area.
