A 24-year old man, Sunday Odebunmi, has been arraigned before the Ikeja Magistrate’s Court on a two-count charge of robbery.
He and his accomplices, now at large, were said to have on 5 July, 2010 at WEMPCO Road, Ogba, Lagos State, Nigeria, conspired to commit felony, to wit, robbery, an offence punishable under Sections 5(b), 1(2) (a), Cap.39, Vol.XX11, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 1990, as amended.
He was also alleged to have armed himself with a locally made pistol and robbed Kazeem Monica, an offence punishable under Sections 5(b), 1(2), Cap. 39, Vol. XX11, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, as amended.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and the presiding magistrate, Mrs. O. Komolafe, adjourned the case till 8 October, 2010.
She also declined to grant him bail.
