Top Players Shine At Lagos Squash Tourney

The two seeded players, Lanre Pratt and Tobi Jimoh were a delight to watch yesterday when they took their opponents to the cleaners in the opening match of the U-14 Lagos Grassroots Squash Rackets Championship held at the Road Park, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria.

The three days tourney is being organised by the Lagos State Squash Association to develop the game at the grassroots.

In the opening match, Pratt defeated Taori Adeoti 11-0, 11-1, while number two seed, Jimoh defeated Michael Odun 11-7, 11-0 to book a place in the semi final which will be played this evening.

Chairman of the association, Edward Omotesho, said 48 players are taking part in the event, which will end tomorrow.

The tourney will be declared close by Prince ‘Wale Oladunjoye, SSA to Governor Babatunde  Fashola.
