Residents, motorists and other road users in Isheri Osun in Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, South West Nigeria, have expressed happiness over the return of Hitech Construction Company, the contractor handling Ijegun-Jakande-Isheri Osun road linking Isolo, for completion.
They are particularly happy with the government for ordering the contractor to go back to work and complete the road which has been a major concern to the entire community.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the Oba-elect of Isheri Osun, Alhaji (Chief) Samsudeen Amoo Mojeed, thanked the Governor Fashola-led administration for ordering the contractor handling the road project to complete it, noting that the road had been long abandoned and causing grave concern to the residents, but now that work has started again, he said, life has returned to the area.
He also appealed to Governor Fashola on the rehabilitation of Iyana Isheri road which he said also accesses Isheri Osun, Jakande, for urgent attention.
While urging Lagosians to continue to support the administration of Governor Babatunde Fashola for them to continue to enjoy more development that has been witnessed in the state in recent times, noting that there is no doubt that things can work well in Nigeria if all the governors can perform like the their Lagos State counterpart.
Amoo also urged his subjects to pay their taxes and other levies regularly so that the state can continue to move forward.
